Carving out time to recharge your batteries by yourself or with loved ones is always great for mental and physical health. If you’re looking forward to your next comfy day in, here are some of our must haves to make it the best day ever!
Lansing Mom is here to share our tried and true favorites. This post does contain affiliate links that help support our small business but every product is something we love!
Spend the Day Reading
We love reading and spending the entire day immersed in a book is the perfect comfy activity. Looking to make your book time extra cozy?! Here are some of our reading faves!
If you are a book lover we highly recommend looking into getting a Kindle. The screen looks so much like a regular book so no need to worry about getting a headache from looking at the screen for too long. It is also perfect for on the go. If you already have a kindle but want to up your comfy game this pillow and snack holder is AH-mazing!
For those of you who can’t give up physical books just yet, make your life easier by getting one of these book holders and some cute book marks.

Find Peace in the Water
Spend some time lingering in the tub or the shower. The warmth of the water is a great way to recharge and it’s easy to turn your bathroom into an at-home spa.
Epsom salts have great benefits and you can pair it with this amazing lavender scented Bubble bath. Put the two together before bedtime for the most incredible sleep.
If you’re more of a shower person, take the time to do a Hair mask to deep condition those gorgeous locks and include a Shower steamer with amazing aromas while you let the water fall.
Once you get out and are totally relaxed, wrap your hair up in a Hair towel and enjoy a Face mask to keep all that moisture in!
Catch Up On Sleep
A comfy day at home isn’t complete without extra sleep. If you can bypass an alarm or head for a nap, do it! We love using a Silk pillow case because of its benefits for your hair and skin. Curl up with a Cozy blanket and don’t forget your Eye mask for extra deep Zzzzs.
Binge Watch a Show
We all have a comfort TV show that is perfect for a day at home. Spend the day watching an old favorite or choose a new one to try completely guilt free. Looking for a show to watch? Check out our Top 10 Binge-Worthy TV Shows for Moms!
Let Someone Else Cook
A comfy day at home is no time for bringing out the pots and pans. Let someone else do the cooking for you! If you don’t feel like ordering out Costco and Capital City Market have some great take and bake options too! You could also take pizza night to the next level at these unique pizza options in the Lansing area. Or keep it really simple with a quick bite from one of our favorite Lansing-area sandwich shops.
Wear Pajamas All Day
This one feels mandatory if you’re having a comfy day at home. Start off with some super cute and soft Pajamas or a Cozy set to get in the mood. On a chillier day, add a warm Robe on top. The final touch are these smiley face slippers for mom and kids. They are so cute and come in so many different colors.
Unplug
Take a portion of the day to unplug from your phone and other devices and connect with your loved ones. There’s always simple fun to be had at home! If you are looking for some activities to unplug with we’ve got some for you below:
