Hi Lansing Moms! My name is Lindsay and I am a DeWitt mom. I’m a Michigan “lifer” having grown up near Ann Arbor. Attending college at Michigan State University brought me to the Lansing area where I met my husband. With his family’s farm being located in DeWitt, mid-Michigan has become home since getting married in 2013. We have two kiddos that keep us on ours toes: seven-year-old Owen who is our sweet, thoughtful kiddo and two-year-old Addison, our spitfire.
I work full time for a milk co-operative and spend time on dairy farms all over our great state in addition to having a small online business.

Farm Family
Growing up I was always an animal lover and envied the kids at the county fair that had farm animals. While there was a learning curve that came with marrying a farmer I wouldn’t trade our life on the farm. We raise beef cattle and also have chickens, a couple of horses and three dogs! Add in two wild farm kids and there’s rarely a dull moment around here.
In 2022 we built our forever home at the farm so work is now just a short walk away for my husband. We all get to be more involved in the day to day of the farm which the kiddos love.
Motherhood
If I’m being honest, I struggled after having my first baby and felt lost. I made the move to work part-time after Owen was born but being a stay at home mom was difficult for me and with that the mom guilt was overwhelming. I gave it a go for two years but made the decision to go back to work full-time. Eventually I started to find my way back to myself. That being said, I’m a big advocate for ‘mom-ing’ in the way that is best for you and your family because no two families are the same. During that new mom phase is also when I discovered fitness as a way to boost not only my physical health but also my mental and emotional health. It’s an outlet for me and I’ve created a space online to encourage other women to do the same. Now as a mom of two, I feel like I’ve found my stride because I’ve found what works for me and our family and I’ve stopped trying to mom the way I thought I was supposed to.
