A Book for Each Day of March is Reading Month

I love books and I love spring, so I jump headfirst into March is Reading Month every year. I don’t know about you, but we go through cycles of reading the same books at bedtime over and over and over again with our daughter (looking at you, Paw Patrol: Jungle Pups).

For March is Reading Month, challenge yourself to shake things up. Find new books to read with your kiddos, or revisit old favorites. Discover new authors and expand your horizons. Have your kiddo close their eyes and randomly pick library books off the shelf. Although, learn from my mistakes and only let them choose one book from each shelf. Otherwise you’ll end up with 12 different versions of Pete the Cat.

To help you out, I’ve assembled a list of great picture books to check out this month. For a fun twist, I’ve aligned my recommendations with national and international day/week/month awareness and cause designations.
