6 Shows to Binge Watch in the New Year

As we enter the new year, 2021, we are still in a pandemic and finding ourselves stuck at home. As a mom of two toddlers and a baby on the way, one of my favorite ways to relax during nap time and once the kids go to bed at night is to cozy up on the couch and binge watch a show. Here are six of the top shows to tune into right now for your binge-watching fun.

1. Bridgerton

Netflix – TV-MA, Drama-Romance: Bridgerton is an adaptation of mostly the first book of a series of Regency romance novels by Julia Quinn. It is the story of eight close-knit siblings of the powerful Bridgerton family attempting to find love.

2. The Queen’s Gambit

Netflix – TV MA, Drama: The Queen’s Gambit follows the life of an orphan chess prodigy, Beth Harmon. Her quest to become the world’s greatest chess player is interrupted by many obstacles along the way.

3. Tiny Pretty Things

Netflix – TV MA, Drama, Mystery, Thriller: Tiny Pretty Things follows the world of an elite ballet academy in Chicago. Based on the novel by Sona Charaipotra and Dhonielle Clayton.

4. Emily in Paris

Netflix – TV MA, Comedy, Drama, Romance: Emily in Paris is a story about a young American woman from the Midwest who moves to Paris to work for a marketing firm.

5. The Undoing

HBO – TV MA, Crime, Drama, Mystery: The Undoing with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant is a miniseries based on the 2014 novel You Should Have Known by Jean Hanff Korelitz. The show follows a wealthy New York therapist whose life turns upside down when her family is involved in a murder case.

6. Love Life

HBO Max – TV MA, Comedy, Romance: Love Life, starring Anna Kendrick, is about the journey of a young woman from first love to last love.
