
Welcome to the 2022 Lansing Mom-Approved Summer Camp Guide! It can be hard to get our heads around the fact that summertime will be arriving in Lansing but it’s coming. Are you ready to start planning a super fun summer for your kids?! Let’s be honest, as much as our kids deserve to go to summer camp, we deserve to send them.
We know that summer camps are at the top of the list of things moms need to figure out early. While summer makes us think of popsicles, parks, and festivals, we KNOW as moms that it can also be a frustrating time where you are struggling to piece together childcare week by week and month by month. From Art to Tech, Theatre to Cooking, Sports to STEM, and plenty in between, we hope this Mom-Approved Summer Camp Guide in around Lansing makes planning a little less stressful and allows for a memorable summer, full of exploring and new experiences!
The Literacy Camp

The Literacy Camp is an interactive learning experience where kids have SO MUCH FUN they don’t even realize they are learning!

YMCA Summer Day Camps (Ages 3-12) offer an experience that is sure to keep your child having fun all summer long. From fostering creativity, to building a sense of accomplishment and belonging, we help kids flourish by surrounding each child with support, guidance, and fantastic opportunities to discover, learn and try until they succeed.
Zookambi

The Potter Park Zoo has you covered with the wildest weeks of programming available in Michigan! Each day of camp includes a variety of hands-on experiences, animal presentations, and adventures typical zoo visitors don’t have. We have a great camp season planned for 2022! We will continue to offer both morning and afternoon sessions each week of Zookambi for kids entering grades 1-7. We will again offer both morning and afternoon extended care.
All of our programs run Monday through Friday. Zookambi kids can attend in the morning, afternoon, or all day! All sessions will have a snack provided.
Morning classes are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Afternoon classes are 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Full day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Drop off times with no additional charge are 8:30 a.m. for morning sessions, and 12:45 p.m. for afternoon sessions.
Pick up must be promptly at 12 p.m. or 4 p.m.
Extended care is available for your convenience for a small additional fee.
If your child is enrolled in both morning and afternoon classes, lunchtime supervision is provided by zoo staff. All you have to do is pack a lunch for your camper!
