Thanksgiving To Go in the Lansing Area

Looking to outsource some Thanksgiving prep this year? (As someone who’s had a baby the Monday before Thanksgiving one year, there’s no judgement here!) Need a little help with the dessert table, or just want a unique take on a traditional dish to share with family? Whether you need a couple pies or would like to cater the whole meal, you can get Thanksgiving to go all across the Lansing area.

For a traditional, catered Thanksgiving meal at a reasonable price point

Kroger, Meijer, Costco

These grocery stores all offer Thanksgiving-to-go meal options that you can heat and serve at your own convenience.

Cracker Barrel

In addition to the chain’s country-style dishes, you can pre-order a Thanksgiving meal from the Okemos and Lansing location. Meals must be reheated at home, and can serve 4-6 ($99.99) or 8-10 ($149.99).

Upscale options for a gourmet dinner crowd

Whole Foods

A classic, roast turkey dinner starts at $109.99 for four servings. This would be a great catering option if you have dietary restrictions such as gluten-free or vegan requirements to consider.

The State Room

Bring MSU’s high-end dining to your own home with The State Room’s popular curbside Thanksgiving menu. Follow the restaurant on Tock to get updates as soon as the menu drops, and to get your order in ASAP.

Monticello’s Market

Note that the pre-ordered turkeys are uncooked; however, the market also offers hams and various side dishes.

Thanksgiving with a Twist

Bravo!

This Italian-American chain in Eastwood Towne Center offers both entire Thanksgiving meals to go or catering by the half or full pan. Pick from traditional sides and Bravo’s Italian specialties.

Saddleback BBQ

Put a new spin on Thanksgiving this year with Saddleback’s smoked turkeys. You can also order a half turkey, and still cook another at home for the traditionalists!

Capital City BBQ

This hole-in-the-wall, BBQ/Vietnamese establishment also offers a smoked turkey dinner at an excitingly low price point. Orders must be placed by November 13. (And maybe ask if they can add some fresh spring rolls as an appetizer!)

Local Desserts

Michigan Made Treats

Order a 9″ pumpkin, apple, pecan, or Dutch apple pie by November 18 for $22.

Mitten Raised Bakery

This East Lansing bakery has a delightful Thanksgiving menu for pre-orders. Options include a Caramel Apple-Sugar Cookie Pie and a Cinny Swirl Trifle Cake that sounds like it’s to die for.

MSU Bakery

These delicious offerings are all baked in a nut-free kitchen – perfect for allergy-conscious families. Get your pre-orders in ASAP (turkey cupcakes, anyone? Or caramel apple pie?) and pick up by Wednesday, November 23.
