While you’ve probably been video chatting away, we’re here to bring you five apps that will help you take it up a notch.
House Party
Game night used to be a big part of our fun with friends and family. While social distancing, you can, of course, still play games with your loved ones in your home…but what about those who don’t live with you? Enter House Party. You can use this app to play games with friends while video chatting with one another. You’re going to want download this one before your next virtual chat!
Netflix Party
You may have seen this one floating around already and it’s super entertaining! You can watch a show or a movie with loved ones even while you’re apart. Have a show you watch religiously with your friends on Sunday night? No reason or that to stop now! Instead, maintain connection by downloading Netflix Party. It will sync you all up to the same time on the show and you can use the chat function to discuss what’s happening.
Touch Note
We’ve seen so much snail mail flying around but if you don’t have pen and paper on hand, enter Touch Note. Touch Note allows you to create a digital postcard that you can send to your loved ones. This is definitely one that could be fun for the kids to design and send to grandparents or family members.
Marco Polo
Marco Polo is an app where you can record video messages. The beauty of this one is that it’s not live so you can chat all day, when it’s convenient for you, rather than trying to sync up availability. The app also includes filters and voice effects to make your videos, and maintaining connection, extra fun.
Airtime
Kind of like a Netflix Party but with different viewing or listening options. You are in charge of the content in the room and can add and invite whoever you like. Download Airtime and use the chat features to watch and chat at the same time!
