Lansing Local Business Spotlight: Michigan Barn Wood and Salvage

Fall is in the air and I am more than ready to bust out the sweatshirts, jackets, jeans, and boots. But as I dig out my favorite fall décor for the season, I realize I’m in need of some new staples. It’s time to make a trip to my favorite local business to get some new fall items for my home.

My favorite fall items come from Michigan Barn Wood & Salvage in Mason. If you haven’t been there yet, you are missing out. Not only do they carry Michigan-made products, they have unique gifts, and even pieces of wood to create your own masterpieces. This local business, known as the “barn wood store,” in my family, also stocks a variety of themed items. Right now, I’m a big fan of their Hocus Pocus gifts for Halloween. Check out these fall finds from my last visit to the Michigan Bar Wood & Salvage store in Mason.

Tumblers & Coffee Mugs

Collecting coffee mugs is one of my guilty pleasures. The bigger the mug, the better. There is nothing better than sipping your coffee in your PJs on a nice, cool, fall day. I have several from the barn wood store. Their stock ranges from funny puns to movie quotes to heartfelt messages.

With my new coffee machine, I now have the ability to make specialty iced coffees. This new addiction has turned my coffee mug collection into a tumbler collection. As a bonus, they also carry Twisted Craft Cocktail mixes with specialty flavors for fall to fill up your new tumbler or mug.

Pillows

These pillows are an excellent gift idea for your loved ones. They are well-made and can really dress up your furniture. Each time I go to the store they have different prints.

Candles

I don’t know about you, but the smell of fall really puts a smile on my face. Kymora Kandles are an exact replica of all the familiar scents of fall in Michigan. That includes my personal favorite, the Cider Mill Cinnamon Doughnuts candle.

Mittens

The barn wood store has multiple options to stay warm including homemade mittens, hats, and scarves. When I saw these cozy mittens, I really couldn’t resist.

Signage & Décor

From decorative pumpkins to picture frames, you can’t go wrong walking away with a trinket to add to your décor. I especially love the flower planters and welcome signs for your front porch.
