Where to Get Dessert

Kilwins| Location: 62 E 8th St, Holland, MI 49423

Kilwins is a favorite for our family. We love getting the Kilwins Tracks in a dipped waffle cone but if you aren’t in the mood for ice cream, enjoy popcorn or fudge. The fireplaces located on the sidewalk make this a perfect place to enjoy your treat no matter the season.

Peachwave Frozen Yogurt and Gelato| Location: 6 W 8th St, Holland, MI 49423

If you want a healthier alternative, Peachwave is the perfect place to enjoy a cold treat. They have many flavor options and tasty mix-ins, too.

Where to Get Souvenirs

This is a great place for locally made items. I always find cute scarves, home decorations, and jewelry here.

My husband and I come here way too much. Cherry Republic has a full range of items from chocolate covered nuts, jams, salsa, and a ton more. They also include wine tasting and nonfood items like t-shirts and stuffed animals in the back.

Where to Grab Brunch

Jessica Walter
I am a working mom who left the education world after 7 years to pursue my business career. I work as a product developer at a local insurance company and love it. My husband and sons are my world. We struggled for 3 years with fertility prior to adopting our first son. Later, we really wanted him to have a sibling so pursued IVF using donor embryos (because we firmly believe love makes a family) and were then blessed with our second son. When I’m not working or playing the wife/mom role, I love to run, read, bake, write, and tinker with photography. We all have a story to share and I hope some of my experiences will help others.
