Fall is officially here! We love this time of year with all the fun activities we can do as a family. We like to spend most of our time outside, but for the times we are inside, we love doing crafts. Most of the items below are things you can find around the house so they are easy fall crafts with very little prep!
Pumpkin Apple Stamps
What You Need:
- Paper
- Paint and brushes
- Apples, cut in half
Let your kids choose their colors and then help them paint the apple. My kids went to town stamping, proving that fall crafts don’t have to be complicated to be fun! Apple stamping is also a great way for kids to enhance their fine motor skills with the coordination of small muscles and movements.
Wreath with Leaves Activity
What You Need:
- Leaves
- Bucket for gathering
- Paper plates
- Scissors
- String
- Glue
The temperature is dropping and the leaves are changing. Fall is the best time to pick leaves that vary in colors, shapes and sizes. This fall craft is a two-part activity which will keep them entertained even longer. Let your kids run around outside and pick out their leaves, and bring a bucket to gather them in. Cut out the center of the paper plate to make a wreath shape and add some string to hang it from. Get out the glue and let your kids’ imagination decorate their wreath with the leaves they gathered!
Lollipop Spider Activity
What You Need:
- Pipe cleaners
- Lollipops
- Googley eyes
For this activity you want to keep your lollipop wrapped (Blow Pops or Tootsie Pops work best). Wrap the pipe cleaners around the stick of the lollipop at the base of the sucker to create eight legs. Add the eyes on and, voila—you have a lollipop spider! This is also a great fine motor skills activity for kids while wrapping pipe cleaners and adding eyes.
